Eco Friendly Production

The EGF cellular activator in the BIOEFFECT EGF Serum is produced in barley in a sustainable, eco-friendly way. The barley is cultivated in Iceland in pure Hekla ash, watered with pure spring water and carefully tended to in a state of the art greenhouse. The patented production method, developed by ORF Genetics, the mother company of SIF Cosmetics, bypasses production in traditional production systems, such as bacteria (E. coli) and animal cells. By producing cellular activators in barley, it is possible to produce very clean and active cellular activators that are well suited for high quality skin care products.

The system that ORF Genetics has developed uses a unique genetic technology in which the cellular activators are produced within the barley seed. After harvesting the barley, the cellular activators are extracted from the seeds under stringent quality control and precise tests of efficacy are performed before use and sales. Cellular activators from ORF Genetics are used in various medicinal researches all over the world; in addition to their use in Sif Cosmetics skin care products.
